Character

The tough times in life chisels out definition to your character.  The choices you make and the attitude you carry through the tough and trying periods of life's challenges are what really leaves an imprint on the person you are becoming.  As you choose to tough it out and choose the right and ethically correct choice, it starts to chisel out your character.  Such are the beginnings of the life's virtues of loyalty, integrity, nobility and fortitude.

We are apt to think that everything that happens to us is to be turned into useful teaching; it is to be turned into something better than teaching, viz. into character. We shall find that the spheres God brings us into are not meant to teach us something but to make us something.
